- The unemployment rate 2015 at 10.3 percent, TurkStat says, up from 9.9 percent in 2014. The unemployment rate in Turkey rose 0.4 percentage points last year from 2014, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement Wednesday. Number of unemployed persons aged 15 years old and over has realized as 3 million 57 thousand persons with 204 thousand persons increase in 2015 compared to the previous year.
- The unemployment rate was 9.9 percent in 2014 with 2.85 million people seeking jobs, up from 9.7 percent in 2013.
- Non-agricultural unemployment rate realized as 12.4% with with 0.4 percentage point increase.
- The unemployment rate for men was 9.2 percent, while it was 12.6 percent for women up from 11.9 percent in 2014.
- Also youth unemployment rose to 18.5 percent in 2015 from 17.9 percent a year earlier.
