The world’s leading independent brand valuation and strategy consultancy, Brand Finance released the annual report on most valuable brands of Turkey. While Akbank topped “Turkey 100 – The Most Valuable Brands 2015” list with its $2.516m brand value, Turk Telekom ranked second with a brand value of $2.475m and Turkiye Is Bankasi followed with $2.445 m of brand value.
Brand Finance director of Turkey, Muhterem İlgüner, states a comparison in terms of business lines that makes up the total value gives an opposite result with the global list.
According to the comparison between 2015 “Turkey100” and “Global500” lists, %69 of the total value of Turkey’s most valuable 100 brands consists of “service industry” and %31 is products. On the contrary, the total value of the 100 brands in the global scale consists of %71 products and %29 service industry. Director of Turkey, Muhterem İlgüner states that most of the brands in that tops the Turkey100 list is from service industry which means that Turkey has not develop valuable brands yet.
