Perhaps Zoom will catch up with this some day. Could you not get it to work? Do you know if it’s zoom not accepting the Processor? In response to by6. Still not working. I do not think that it’s the processor. As I said, shared memory for the display might be the problem.
I live in hope! In response to nida I think that they are OK with i-5 and up. It seems to be that display memory. Load more replies.

I started using Zoom when I had to work from home during the Coronavirus pandemic. However, even as life went back to normal and I was able to go back to the office, it gave me the freedom to work from home more often.
Not all the features are geared towards productivity. Some of the features are just there to lighten the mood. In early , Zoom got in a little trouble for claiming to have end-to-end encryption on all video calls, when in fact only the presentations used in the calls had this high encryption levels. They have since updated the security policies and added new security features, such as enhanced encryption, requiring a password to join a meeting, and the option to lock a meeting.
Zoom meetings are encrypted with bit TLS encryption and presentations that are shared have end-to-end AES bit encryption. It also introduced several security measures to prevent unauthorized users from joining a meeting, such as a password requirement, waiting rooms, or the option to lock a meeting once it begins.
For most users, a free Zoom account is good enough. It allows for unlimited one-on-one meetings, up to participants in group meetings, and a minute time limit on group meetings. The premium packages have longer time limits, the ability to customize your personal ID, an admin dashboard, vanity URL, company branding, and more. The only limitation is that no one will be able to see your smiling face. WizCase is an independent review site. As I was closing down the app I checked to see what version I was on and I noticed that there was an update available.
I updated to 5. Yes, I am running Windows I also am a Tech professional so I know my stuff. Zoom is working perfectly for me. Sorry that you don’t have the same experience. Help me! What did you do to get a virtual background to work on Windows 11?
I was in touch with Zoom just today and they said Windows 11 does not support a virtual background and I should “work around” on another machine. Not an option and Zoom is no help! Sorry Zoom but this is ridiculous!
Especially for paying customers! So I am supposed to downgrade my system for a virtual background? Doesn’t make sense! I thought that it was just the issue of W11 being left off the list of operating systems, but others have said that they have got backgrounds to work.
I can only conclude that the restriction applies to machines with shared display memory, everything else checks out. However features like eyebrow tracking work, which I would think called for more vision processing ingenuity, so maybe Zoom will get around to the background problem one day.
Are you having problems with static image backgrounds or with video backgrounds? I found that I can use static ones but not video. I am using Windows 10, but I wonder if the same thing happens with Windows 11, or if Windows 11 is more restrictive as to the hardware you must have for video backgrounds.
I’d be happy with a static image! If I select ‘I have a green screen’ that can be enabled, but all the background clutter shows through. In all such cases, such as the ‘upgrade to W11’ test, there should be a ‘I accept that my system might cause problems’ button should force a pass to the test. Friend has an Asus windows 10 laptop with the and gets the message saying the specs are not up to it. Which suggests Zoom perhaps do not recognise it, even though it’s better than previous gen i3’s that they allow..
I don’t understand why they would have that requirement, when there is no similar requirement for Intel processors. I am having the same issues and I have the same processor.. So it means we can’t use background for now then? Actually, it seems to be more complicated. I downgraded to Windows 10 and I am still having the same problem.
And with another computer, a desktop with an Intel processor, Core i7, 4 cores, 3. Something is wrong with Zoom. I suspect that the problem is the shared video memory. It is interesting that the face recognition features, like party hat and eyebrows, do not seem to need that video memory. Perhaps background recognition will catch up soon. Incidentally, last year their were party features like Christmas hats and antlers. I wonder when they will appear!
I think I know why the Core i7, 3. They want 6th generation or higher. Mine is 3rd generation, while the Core i5, 2. Yet I am surprised that the filter gizmos like reindeer antlers can work when backgrounds do not.
There is even something to paint on lipstick! Maybe Zoom could add another filter to insert false teeth! Zoom Community. Supporting a Hybrid-friendly Work Environment Explore products and tools for seamless collaboration across office and home working spaces.
